Applejack in Gala Dress Custom by atelok Applejack in Gala Dress Custom by atelok
First of the Mane 6 in her Gala Dress. The others are in progress. This is quite a big project and I'm really proud of the outcome. I can't wait to take the group shot, when they are all done*_*

So wait, you trimmed the hair, sculpted the original hair special for the gala design and applied the layers to the pony, that is amazing. I'd be to stubborn to buy the pony, my pride would be like, YOU MUST MAKE THE PONY AND THE DRESS!!!!!!! and I'd ultimately end up failing... this is great! so did you half cook it too? or just use the clay in its raw form, because I know some artist shape it, half bake it and then use fine detail then bake it the rest of the way...

Wow! I think I never before got a comment that long^^ Where should I start...
I cut off the mane and tail and then sculptered it and the dress with Fimo. I really like the shape of the brushable ponies and customizing them is fun. The part I like the most is the hair^^
I baked the pony a few times together with the clay, always after modeling some new parts. I don't half bake it. I had some bad experience with parts breaking off when they are not baked compleatly. I do all the details before the baking;)

aha! I don't usually use Fimo because my mother says its to expensive, so the sculpy brand is hard to do fine details with, I would imagine that the hair is the most fun part, it looks terribly fun. Hey I actually design dresses for ponies and I have actually made parts of them out of clay before for an art show at a gallery, maybe some time if your bored then you can use one of my designs, i can have one made any time for you no cost... also do you bake the pony at the same temperature as the clay cause I imagine the pony might melt! :) sorry for such large comments...

Wow, this is amazing. The detail is just fabulous, from her mane and tail, to the little apples adorning the bottom of her dress. Fantastic job, your work is impeccable. :D
